Warhammer 40,000

 

Hallen’s Hobbies has a large range of Warhammer 40,000 (40K) products for 3^rd edition as well as access to the full range via order.  We have a healthy group of players that participate in games of 40K on a regular basis, as well as regular events.  The best chance for a game of 40K is Thursday evenings, and Sundays.  Adam Nordberg, previously the President of the Ravenguard Gaming Club, operates a website dedicated to 40K and the Hallen’s Hobbies event results.  You can find Adam’s page here.

Last Saturday (10 July 04) the Warhammer 40,000 players gathered together for a ‘big’ game.  At 21:00 on Saturday evening we started deployment on a set of tables pulled together to make an 8’ x 20’ battlefield.  These are the forces that turned up for the battle…

OK, we know that technically the Eldar and the Necrons wouldn’t be playing on the same side, but then, the players themselves are pretty evil, so we justified it that way.  The game had 4 objective locations, and it eventually resulted in a tie, with two of the objectives in contention and one each in the hands of opposing sides.   We went for six turns and finally drew a close to the game at end of turn six at about 03:00 Sunday morning.  As soon as we get the time we will post some photos from the evening.  Most of the players enjoyed the game so much that we are planning another one.  The rules are only starting to form, but it looks like it could easily be a fair bit bigger.  TBC date is Saturday 2 October 04.

Details	Warhammer 40,000 3rd edition (with TAR) 650 points, restrictions as follows; 1 Elite as HQ no Independent Characters (must be infantry), 1 Fast Attack, 1 Heavy Support and Unlimited Troops choices 1 Vehicle with max armour 36, Any number of armour 30 vehicles may be included, but are still limited by force selection (i.e. No more than 1 E, FS or HS)

Games can be played at any time during the week, but the best opportunity will be Thursday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays

 

OZ DAY 40K

Warhammer 40,000 4^th edition

2000 points, Australia Day Long Weekend

$20 entry with army list submitted by 16 January 05

Autumn League

Warhammer 40,000 4^th edition
